Building for the Future:

A PROJECT to Sustain Arizona

WHAT’s BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE?

Instituto launched the Building for the Future Project (BFTF) in may 2023, a three-part effort to inform the specific needs OF THE CIVIC-ENGAGEMENT NONPROFIT sector IN ARIZONA and provide actionable recommendations for investors. Our three strategies include: research, a Seed-fund grant, and a robust technical assistance effort.

BFTF Collective Learning Grant

We are thrilled to announce the five Arizona organizations awarded our Building for the Future Collective Learning Grant. The grant awardees are Arizona Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander for Equity (AZ AANHPI for Equity), Arizona Native Vote, Black Lives Matter Phoenix, Mass Liberation Arizona, and Poder in Action.
They were awarded $20,000 each to develop and experiment with new strategies for sustained local funding. We're excited to see how these five organizations will use these funds to learn, test, and grow their capacities through their unique projects. We want to thank every organization that applied: we learned more about their amazing work to support communities of color and low-income communities across the state. Together, we are building for the future and creating meaningful change in Arizona!
